Costume & props research

Planning costume and props- media from Abraham Jones

Extra:

I observed the type of clothing used in hip-hop. Clothing is expensive, branded, and very detailed in quality and quantity. Far from simple at some points. This includes hefty jewellery, excessive facial decorations, etc. This is to symbolise characters, to prove their success with unique clothing most people wouldn't be able to afford. it gives off a sense of over-flowing confidence that most hip-hop artists/rappers have to this day. This is accompanied by many other things, such as body language and facial expression. They are normally firm and solid to compliment the style of clothing and props.
Rappers don't often go for jeans or casual shirts in their video, nor any form of smart wear. It is outof the ordinary.
